Pickup date: Monday June 15th 2020. This weeks challenge comes from the site Teach Outside the Box by Brooke Brown. She offered 13 FREE maker activities and we are loving them! Today, we will make a parachute and basket. Use whatever materials you have at home, as well as what is included in your weekly STEM kit. Use a QR code reader to get more information. Make sure to send pictures/videos of your creations to firstname.lastname@example.org OR On our weekly Facebook post.

HERE IS WHAT WE FOUND:
We tried with 2 pieces of string by cutting the large piece in half. It fell slightly uneven, so we cut into 4 pieces with much better results!
The four piece might even work better with eight pieces, but we challenge you to figure it out!
Little figures do in fact float along with the parachute!
The first QR code on the page has our favorite video for instructions, and information on how a parachute works.
The left video shows with a figure, and the video on the right contains an empty basket.
